What is the legal sector like?
Many of the world’s leading international law firms have a base in Dubai. This is mainly due to the city being a robust and stable economy which was only marginally affected by the financial crash of 2008. The law firms within the city have an abundance of work in M&A, Banking, Finance, Construction and Real Estate. The DIFC (Dubai International Financial Centre) has more than 22 of the world’s top 30 banks and 6 of the top 10 insurance companies. The DIFC has its own independent financial regulator and laws, which are based on the English common law system.
