Litigation & Insolvency Lawyer (5–8 PQE) – Hong Kong | Top-Tier Offshore Practice

We are partnering with a leading international law firm with a premier presence in the Hong Kong market. The firm is seeking a high-calibre Litigation & Insolvency Lawyer (5–8 PQE) to join their established dispute resolution team.

This is an exceptional opportunity to work on high‑value, cross‑border litigation and restructuring matters within one of the most respected offshore practices in the region.

Key Responsibilities

As part of the disputes team, you will:

  • Act on complex commercial litigation matters, including shareholder disputes, contractual claims and cross-border enforcement.

  • Advise on contentious and non-contentious insolvency mandates, including restructurings, liquidations, and receiverships.

  • Work alongside leading partners on high-profile matters involving multinational corporations, financial institutions, and insolvency practitioners.

  • Draft and review pleadings, witness statements, legal opinions, and client advisory notes.

  • Liaise with onshore counsel, regulators, and various stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Participate in business development initiatives and maintain strong client relationships.

Requirements

To be considered, you must:

  • Have 5–8 years’ post-qualification experience in litigation and/or insolvency.

  • Be qualified in one of the following jurisdictions:

    England & Wales, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Ireland, or Scotland.

  • Have strong disputes experience gained from a reputable onshore or offshore firm.

  • Be commercially minded, with excellent communication and drafting skills.

  • Thrive in a collaborative environment and be comfortable managing cases with an international dimension.

  • Chinese language skills (Mandarin or Cantonese) are highly desirable, though not essential.
