two wild birds on a beach in Australia

Lauren Chester Melbourne, Australia, Associate...

Australia is full of all kinds of amazing places to visit, which means we are spoilt for choice when it comes to picking the top 4 places, but here is our list!

1. Sydney Opera house

The Sydney Opera House is a multi-venue performing arts centre in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is one of the 20th century's most famous and distinctive buildings. The building is the back drop to many films and documentaries making it one of the most photographed places in the world.

2. Great Barrier Reef

The Great Barrier Reef, off the coast of Queensland in north eastern Australia, is the largest living thing on Earth, and even visible from outer space!

3. Uluru

Uluru (or Ayers Rock), is a massive sandstone monolith in the heart of the Northern Territory’s arid "Red Centre". The nearest large town is Alice Springs, 450km away. Uluru is sacred to indigenous Australians and is thought to have started forming around 550 million years ago.

4. Bondi Beach

The all-encompassing white-sand crescent of Bondi is one of Australia’s most iconic beaches. The surf here draws surfers while, nearby, hardy locals swim in the Icebergs ocean pool year-round. Fashionable, health-conscious Sydneysiders head to laid-back cafes around Hall Street, while with-it backpackers frequent the area's casual pubs.
