Position Overview:

As a Senior Project Finance / Project Development Associate, you will play a key role in their thriving projects team, working on high-profile transactions and development projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years PQE, be a qualified lawyer in South Africa, and possess a solid background in project finance and development. Previous experience with DFIs is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advise on complex project finance and development matters.

• Draft and negotiate project agreements, financing documents, and related contracts.

• Conduct legal due diligence and risk assessments for project investments.

• Interact with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.

• Collaborate with cross-border teams and liaise with international offices to facilitate seamless legal services.

Qualifications and Skills:

• South Africa Qualified Lawyer with a minimum of 5 years PQE.

• Strong background in project finance and project development.

• Experience with Development Financial Institutions (DFIs) is preferred.

• A proven track record working with international firms is advantageous.

• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.

• Team player with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
