Join a Market-Leading Real Estate Finance Practice.

Our client, a distinguished, globally-connected law firm with an exceptional track record spanning three decades in the property sector, seeks a driven Mid-Level Property Lawyer to join their Property Finance sub-team. This is an outstanding opportunity to refine or pivot your real estate expertise toward sophisticated finance and security work within a supportive, high-calibre environment.

  • Client Base: Representing institutional Lenders, major Developers, and Investors across diverse property classes.

  • Team Structure: Situated within a substantial Real Estate Group (10+ Partners), you will join a close-knit and highly effective Property Finance sub-team comprising 2 Partners and 4 fee earners.

  • Platform: Access to the firm's extensive international network is utilized for seamlessly executing cross-border and complex finance mandates.

Key Responsibilities

You will play an integral part in the due diligence, perfection, and management of real estate security and related risks for finance deals. Responsibilities include:

  • Real Estate Due Diligence (Lender Focus): Acting for banks and financial institutions, meticulously reviewing property titles and preparing either Certificates of Title or detailed Property Reports tailored for significant Real Estate Finance loans.

  • Transaction Execution: Managing the property components of the finance lifecycle, including the clearance of property-related Conditions Precedent (CPs) and overseeing complex completion and drawdown mechanics.

  • Security Management: Drafting and advising on requests from borrowers for various Lender Consents (e.g., agreeing to the grant of new occupational leases, variations to existing security documents, etc.).

  • Special Situations & Restructuring: Providing critical property advice to Receivers and Administrators post-appointment, collaborating closely with the firm's leading Insolvency & Restructuring specialists.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a Real Estate Finance Lawyer with proven post-qualification experience who possesses a strong commitment to developing expertise in Property Finance law.

  • Experience & Qualifications: 3-5 years of relevant post-qualification experience gained within a firm renowned for its highly regarded Real Estate practice and demonstrable capability in managing intricate legal matters.

  • Expertise (Desirable): Prior experience in Real Estate Finance or handling the property aspects of Insolvency/Restructuring mandates is advantageous but not strictly essential; a robust training pathway will be provided.

  • Required Skills:

    • Exceptional academic and professional qualifications.

    • Acute Commercial Awareness and a practical, solutions-driven approach.

    • A proactive self-starter capable of working autonomously and within a focused sub-team.

    • Highly organised, demonstrating exemplary file management and a meticulous commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.

Advance your career in Property Finance Law.
