Projects Associate - 2+ PQE - Perth

Nexus are working with a top-tier international law firm who are looking for a talented projects lawyer to join their well-regarded Perth team.

The successful candidate will be offered unrivalled mentoring and training from a highly experienced partner, as well as lots of client and business development exposure. You will work with domestic and international clients, touching on overseas markets including Africa and Asia. Due to the international nature of the practice, you will have the opportunity to travel overseas as part of your duties.

The ideal candidate for this role will have strong projects and/or M&A experience in the resources or infrastructure sectors. You will be highly motivated, with good drafting skills and will be comfortable working with clients in the resources sector. Some African or offshore experience would be highly regarded, although not essential. You will have experience in the negotiation and drafting of:

o unincorporated JVs;

o Sale and Purchase Agreements for the sale and acquisition of projects;

o Shareholders Agreements

o Mining Services agreements and related agreements

This role is ideally suited to a lawyer who has gained significant experience working with a well-regarded international law firm or top-tier practice in Perth, elsewhere in Australia or another common law jurisdiction.
