Corporate Energy & Resources Solicitor - 2-5 years - Perth

Nexus are currently working with a top-tier international firm who are actively hiring into their award-winning Corporate Energy &R resources team in Perth.

Working alongside 2 well-regarded partners as well as other corporate partners across the national practice, the successful candidate will be heavily involved in corporate transactions in the energy & resources sector. You will advise on:

• acquisitions and divestments
• joint ventures
• project development
• procurement

The team work with many well-known clients including major mining companies, oil & gas suppliers, government bodies and other energy suppliers/purchasers. Clients are located both domestically and internationally, giving the successful candidate exposure to transactions across the Asia-Pacific and Americas.

The ideal candidate will have between 2 and 5 years' of experience working on transactions within the energy & resources sectors. Candidates who have good corporate experience that is not specific to E&R will also be seriously considered. The right candidate for this role will be admitted to practice in Australia and will have strong local experience. Australian qualified lawyers who are looking to return to Australia after gaining experience overseas are actively encouraged to apply.

Other common law qualified lawyers may also be considered, although will need to demonstrate a good understanding of the Australian legal market and/or strong ties to the region.
